A highlight of my award-winning Goldsmiths MFA degree show, this tapestry was on display at the Saatchi Gallery, London, UK (2022). ΞXIT is a tapestry made from a single frame of an interactive A.I. film I made earlier this year (a video clip can be viewed here: ) This tapestry was made with a digital jacquard loom. After using software that converts the different hues of my image into specific weaving patterns (chosen by me), the result is exported into the loom software in order to start weaving. I manually pushed the shuttle through the warp 2,034 times to create this piece. The artwork comes with hand-cut steel dowel for easy hanging. ΞXIT is the first in an ongoing series of jacquard tapestries that I am making. These are inspired by my CGI films that touch on natural landscapes in a futuristic setting.
