Eau Painting

My name is Vanina Martinez, I am Argentine, granddaughter of Spanish and Italian immigrants. One of my first gifts from my father was a wooden briefcase with oil paints and brushes. Next came the dolls. My father and grandfather had a printing press where I spent hours playing with inks, letters, and reams of paper. I was lucky enough to be able to travel the world, which is why many of the colors portrayed in my work come from there. Above all blues, which is my favorite color. And they remind me a lot of the Mediterranean. I trained in Argentina in the best universities in the country and with great teachers. I also studied Set Design in which I currently work. I think that the two activities combine perfectly in my work.
