In this triptych, the figure is shown suspended from a silver string. They are caught in a beautiful ecstatic moment, oblivious to the world around them and even to the passage of time. The center panel shows a serene stillness, while the side panels catch the figure dancing with energy and joy. The electric colors and the tension between the restriction of the string and the freedom of dancing in the air create a scene filled with contradictions and questions. Is the figure in denial of its condition? Is it better to stay in the beautiful moment or to snap out of it and realize that the figure’s life has long since passed as time continued around them?
