Bert Oosthout has spent a good deal of his live on board of his sailing yacht cruising the North Sea, adjacent waters and a few oceancrossings. The ocean is his for him an endless source of inspiration. This painting is his reflection of a trip on the Dutch Wadden Sea: little wind means making little speed against the incoming tide.
