ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist Liladhar from Nepal, specializes in creating mountain ranges and amazingly realistic sceneries. He enjoys painting the Himalayas in various forms at different times of the day. Well - known for his depiction of Kala Pattar, a summit in the Himalayas which literally means ‘black rock’, his use of oils to create the peaks and valleys is unsurpassed. (Trekkers to the Everest base camp will attempt to summit Kala Pattar since it provides the most accessible point to view Mount Everest). Liladhar holds a Bachelors degee in Fine Arts as well as diplomas from the Nepal Art Gallery. At the age of 34, he has several group exhibitions to his credit and works closely with various art groups in Nepal. The painting is serene yet powerful depicting strength. Hanging hardware is included.
