Every Hour Painting

Predominantly a landscape painter, Ewelina Amrogowicz is a Polish artist, currently living in London. Ewelina's focus on the natural world is stimulated by her passion for the environment and an interest in escapism. Her recent works are mainly oil on stretched canvas, though she often returns to acrylic. Her art is a form of escapism, using a variety of concepts to demonstrate this theme, always remaining true to her photorealistic painting style. Ewelina studied Architecture and Urban Design at the Universities both in Poland and UK, where she developed her ability to capture the delicacy of composition. Through her paintings, she aims to connect with and provoke different emotions for each individual, so that every piece resonates with the viewer in a unique way. Ewelina believes that one can find solace in art, which provides an often nostalgic escape from overwhelming current events. For her, painting is so much more than just copying an image; it's about conveying a feeling, by capturing a single moment. Each moment presents the opportunity to detach from reality and indulge in a daydream. All of Ewelina's works, to some degree, investigate meanings of art as a healthy form of escapism; consciously shifting focus from the stresses of modern day life, with peaceful distraction. Painting has become a form of meditation, in which she can let go of expectation. Ewelina channels her energy into exploration of harmony; either an escape or a comfort.
