This marine landscape radiates chaotic energy, its palpable salt spray immersing you in a brewing storm. A frail boat battles the churned-up sea, contrasting sharply with the immovable, warm-toned rocks of the pier. The tension is heightened by masterful lighting: brooding clouds part to reveal a so...

Hello, my name is Talgat Tauyekelov. I am a painter devoted to the sea, its changing light, restless movement, and enduring atmosphere. My work centers on seascapes, ships, rocky shores, waves, and coastal пространства shaped by weather, distance, and time. I am especially inspired by the maritime imagery of the 18th century, where the sea appears not only as nature, but also as drama, history, and memory. In my painting, I am drawn to the meeting of water, sky, and stone. I look for moments when light breaks through heavy clouds, when waves strike the shore with force, or when a ship appears small against the vastness of the horizon. These scenes allow me to explore both the power of nature and its emotional depth. My approach is rooted in representational painting, yet I am also interested in atmosphere, vibration, and the fleeting effects of light, which bring an impressionistic sensitivity into my work. I do not aim simply to describe the sea. I want to convey its motion, mood, and inner presence. For me, marine painting is a way to hold together energy and silence, history and immediacy. Through these works, I seek to create images that invite the viewer into a world of wind, water, distance, and contemplation.
