About The Artwork
"Exposed" recounts a book I authored several years ago, detailing the plight of a man haunted by night terrors with unknown cause. Urged by his wife, he embarks on a quest for help, leading him to a hypnotist. During one of the trans sessions, he relives the life of an infant gorilla in the wild of Africa. An ominous night, perched in the safety of his mother's embrace atop a tree, his mesmerized gaze falls upon a moonlit scene, only to be jolted by the presence of a daunting pack of lions from below, one of which is attempting to climb the tree with a locking stare straight at him. Consumed by terror, he finds himself speechless in the face of overwhelming fear. In this painting, Dualism serves as a technique in which "color" and "form" convey distinctive narratives that are harmoniously blended to form a compelling story. "Form" evokes the imagery of the tree, a mother gorilla and her offspring, with a lioness about to climb the tree, while "color" portrays two other lions roaming below.

As a kid I had a keen drawing skill. My father quickly took notice and pushed me to paint. Back in the days, we used to spend evenings painting together; my father, my mother, my sister, and me. I remember being very happy those days. Later on, I started experimenting with water colors, used as oils. I would use impressionistic style, with visible brush strokes and richness of colors. Later on, I captured interest in my work, and so my three first iconic works were sold: A commissioned art from a travel agency of a boy with a city seeing behind, a full body portrait of a businessman, and a wedding picture of a couple just wedded.
