''Nature's Feast' -This is a crowning moment for my impressionistic work. My brushless 'drip & splash' technique has become hugely controllable yet remains passionately expressive. The painting only can be somewhat appreciated online in a montage because of its scale. It measures 5x16' or 154x490 cm.' Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mczi9r9U1fA “Using my advanced brushless ‘drip & splash’ technique, I am able to achieve profound depths of both inner world human abstract expressions and outer world natural impressions. I love the freedom and power that my technique facilitates. My brushless ‘Drip & Splash’ technique is incredible in its flexibility and fluidity. In my abstract paintings is allows me huge reach in both the development of fantastic lines as well as complex layered textures. I use large amounts of paint in both my abstract expressionist paintings and my post impressionist paintings. My paintings start large and can get huge. It is an awesome experience to be able to create balanced compositions on such huge canvases. Vibrant color, unhindered use of masses of paint, allows me to create great textures and energy packed large abstract paintings. Even my impressionist paintings are bold and full of life. The scale of my lines and the fluid application of paint brings to life my naturally inspired paintings. Passion, intensity, energy, vibrancy, beauty, joy and spirit are some of the components of life that feed my soul, fuel my drive and thus burst with desire to come out in my art work. My abstract paintings are subconscious efforts to express these attributes of our human experience. My abstract expressionist goals are to capture these powerful life forces, experiences and emotions and record them through my paintings. These contagious and intoxicating life ingredients can be viscerally experienced by those who acquire my work.

Julian Raven was born in Richmond-Upon-Thames in London, England. He was raised on the Mediterranean, in Marbella, Southern Spain. At a young age he exhibited a natural inclination toward the visual arts. Winning school art shows demonstrated his talent as a child artist. Raven studied art in Spain and in London at the Chelsea School of Art. He has used his artistic 2D and 3D skills in his custom woodworking and cabinetmaking business he had for many years. But the goal was to return to the canvas, when economically possible, which he did in the summer of 2013. This was a natural transition since his work was always his art even though for a season it was more craft-like in the creation of fine furniture. Julian Raven lives in Elmira, New York in is warehouse/art studio/gallery. He is married and has three children. Artist. Thinking spatially, 3 dimensionally and in color comes naturally to Raven. Images rapidly fill the inner spaces in the studio in his head, that his eyes perceive in the world. Most of his work is done 'upstairs' in his inner studio. For years he has developed his skills in inner vision development and design, enabling him to create simultaneously whilst doing other things, even mundane chores. Raven's work reflects his bold, bright and passionate personality. His great liberty of spirit is reflected in his bold, pure and direct use of color. His work is vibrant, full of energy, drama, and power. His paintings are alive, they pulsate with creative energy and spiritual freedom. This gifting, he has discovered, works across many realms of creative life. Artistically, it functions in different media, both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally, whether painting, designing, cabinet making or woodworking. They all work as dramatic stages upon which Julian Raven's gifts perform. It is, however, the visual arts, to which Raven's curious, divergent, creative, and inquisitive mind ultimately resonates. Flux and change are natural to the artistic flow within Julian. The new and fresh artistic vision drives him onwards. Connecting with his deep inner-world and releasing the creative experiences through his art is destiny to him. His art is the one source of expression that keeps pace with the unfolding imagery, visions and ideas that develop within. Julian Raven's search for the 'ultimate language' is on.
