ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A diptych is the main form of Line Dualism. Unlike the traditional diptych, where the two parts visually form a single whole, the diptych in Line Dualism is always a conflict of two opposites. Finding them next creates a contrast and thereby enhances the sound of each of the parts. «The resurrection» next to such «The Fading» seems to be brighter, more joyful and life-affirming, and «The Fading» next to «The resurrection» even more cold, dreary and hopeless. However, each of the parts is a complete work and can exist separately.
