This painting is part of a small series of work devoted to observing nature's seasonal changes. The imagery within this painting depicts an allegory of Autumn and the harvest season- a time when things are coming to abundance, yet also coming to a close. The colors, patterns, and composition are influenced by Persian miniature painting. The female figure in the painting represents women's physical and spiritual connection to nature and Mother Earth. The glowing sun emerging from the top of the painting is painted with real gold pigment.
