This is a round wood table covered with Belgium Linen, it is 93 cms wide. The colour experience as well as the value contrast on the piece, delivers an exquisite depth of vision and emotion. The scene depicts a moment of hard, intense and intriguing sense of tragedy, beauty and solitude, despite of having 3 characters on the field, only one seems to be dealing with bitter human feelings, meanwhile the other to seem to have been released form everyday sufferings. The artist succesfully transmits through his technique and style his idea of the moments of duel lived through out the year of 2020 for most of the humanity. "My work explores the relationship between Pre-raphaelite tenets and inner experiences. With influences as diverse as Nietzsche and Roy Lichtenstein, new tensions are distilled from both orderly and random dialogues. Ever since I was a postgraduate I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of meaning. What starts out as yearning soon becomes finessed into a cacophony of lust, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the inevitability of a new beginning. As momentary phenomena become transformed through boundaried and personal practice, the viewer is left with a testament to the darkness of our world.” Salvatoros

Salvatoros is a figurative painter, currently living and working between Punta Cana and Madrid. His works focus on the relationship between human figure and the limits of its physical construction and its inner spiritual realm. Born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela, I trained on visual arts since the beginning of school life with diverse teachers and instructors. After studying education, I moved to China from 2010 to 2015 where I worked as a comercial trader and as a shoes and apparel designer. During those years I always kept some time aside to study painting. I never felt fully satisfaced from non artistic activities, so I decided to devote my life to painting. I try to communicate emotions detached from human attachment. The idea that constitutes the thematic support for the creation of the series comes from the personal imagination. When transferred into pictures, function as postcards where allegorical elements gravitate arranged as in tarot cards and manifest as a whole, through the technique of realism, the staging of characters involved in the contradictions of material relationships, both human, natural and artificial. I predominantly paint oils on canvas, wood and panels, but I also like to work a lot with black mediums such as charcoals, inks, pastels. I like to think that language and its expressive potentialities touch deep levels of the human being. My relationship with that thought has been present since childhood, received directly from my parents, who, surrounded by an extraordinary sensitivity towards art in general, taught me to recognize, through personal anecdotes, books, photographs and music, the tasting somewhat enigmatic that the aesthetic fact possesses in its different languages.
