As an artist, my journey began in the vibrant cultural milieu of Yerevan, where I honed my skills and developed my artistic voice. Between 1978 and 1982, I was immersed in the world of art at the Hakob Kojoyan Art School, a place where tradition and innovation intersected, shaping my early aesthetic sensibilities. Following this foundational experience, from 1982 to 1984, I delved deeper into the art world at the Karlen Hovsepyan Art Studio. This period was marked by intense experimentation and a deepening of my artistic practice. In 1984, I broadened my horizons by joining the Faculty of Art Education at the Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University, where I spent a year exploring the intersection of art and education. This experience enriched my understanding of the transformative power of art in society. The years 1985 to 1987 and then 1988 to 1991 were pivotal in my artistic development. During these times, I was part of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, an institution that played a crucial role in refining my skills and expanding my artistic vision. The interlude in 1987-88 at the St. Petersburg State Repin Academy of Fine Arts was a defining moment, exposing me to a broader spectrum of artistic expressions and connecting me with a network of artists that influenced my work profoundly. Throughout these years, my art evolved, reflecting a journey that was as much about personal growth as it was about artistic exploration. This path has not been about individual accolades or exhibitions but a continuous quest to express, challenge, and communicate through the medium of art, seeking to resonate with and reflect the human experience.
