About The Artwork
The Royal Iris ferry that has carried so many people across the river mersey from Liverpool and back and up and down the river on sightseeing tours. That inspired music and carried the likes of Gerry and The Pacemakers, who sang of the 'Ferry Cross The Mersey', and of course The Beatles. Hopefully the beauty of the ferry will bring a smile to the face of all that see it. The oils capture the movement of the 'rock and roll' of the ferry as it cross the famous river.
