Finchfield Painting

Most of my life has been about design and art. I have an eye for detail, and strive for the best outcomes. Whether it is branding, websites, magazines, house design or my art, I always need to refine to achieve the best visual outcome. I have been working in the design world for over 30 years, and been involved in so many changes in the way art + science have evolved. Early in my career, I was fortunate to work with Steve Jobs at Apple, and helped create the first TrueType fonts, while setting up desktop publishing systems for ad agencies around the world. In recent years, my interest gravitated towards abstract art and the way it presents in the physical world...both as an investment and to enhance a room. I know how art can transform a space from ok to spectacular. Travelling the world and visiting some of the most amazing galleries around the world further inspired me to follow my passion of art. Seeing amazing works by the likes of Gerhard Richter, (in particular the cage paintings at the Tate Modern on London), Jackson Pollock in New York, plus appreciating the new and old masters in Paris. My art is inspired by Pollock and Richter, and I try to incorporate some of their techniques in my work. I use the highest quality paint on linen, and create large scale canvases. (2m x 2m upwards) In addition to the art for sale, I also consider select commission work, so please feel free to reach out with your plans.
