The cycle "Five Shades for the Torah" was conceived in 2020. Studying materials from the Old Testament, I often drew plots for writing my paintings. So at one time I wrote a cycle of works "Come and See", etc. All these works were carried out in a realistic manner of painting.Later, I wondered about the difference between the historical materials of the Torah and the Old Testament. Certainly the Old Testament is a Christian reference to Jewish scriptures. I set out to depict the historical events described in this holy book. The Torah forbids the depiction of animals, humans and the entire material world that surrounds us. I was visited by the idea that if the Torah forbids depicting the material world, then nothing is said there about the prohibition of the abstract and metaphysical world. But through an abstract image it is possible to convey an associative series of a person's perception of his fantasies. At the beginning, I read one chapter from the Torah, an association with color, symbols, signs appeared in my mind. So, from study to study, a number of compositions appeared, which led me to write this cycle of works.Book 4 "Numbers", is the fourth work and is made in the same way as the previous works in an expressive manner, by imposing bold strokes of paint on the canvas. In my work, I tried to convey my association with the content of this book, about sacrifice and the formation of a code of laws, which were later guided by the priests of the people of Israel.
