Flower Still Life (Jan Vas Os) Painting

Hello! My name is Regina. I’ve grown up in a beautiful city on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Since my childhood I have been influenced by masterpieces of great artists. I couldn’t imagine my life without crayons in my hands. Paints have always been around me, even on my clothes. Creative work has always been my passion and I could do it endlessly, forgetting about the time while I was painting. For the last 7 years I have been studying medieval painting, and icon painting. I’ve mastered the Byzantine and Old Russian techniques of art. Icon painting completely took over me. I was amazed by the charm and cleanness of this style of art. My imagination was captured by natural pigments, hand-made paints, and incredible shine of gold. That is why I studied at icon painting schools in Moscow for a long period. I also took private lessons from the leading masters of icon painting and gilding. Now I have more time and opportunity to do my favorite activities – painting and icons painting. When I paint my pictures, I get into a creative flow that gives me sense of freedom and aeriality. I’m sure the paintings can serve as a doorway to unknown side of the world, they open up horizons for a new reality and our fantasies.
