I came to Berlin because of the war in Ukraine. My soul was in darkness, so I wanted to create something bright and beautiful. My flower series began with this work. My heart was happy that I survived and was filled with love at that time. So I wanted to depict life in all its beauty, which is best ...

In an era where contemporary art often bends toward trends and market logic, Irshi stands apart as an artist driven by something far more essential: the act of creation itself. For her, art is not a product but a language — a way of speaking to the world through metaphor, emotion, and deeply personal symbolism. Each canvas becomes a fragment of her inner universe, offered with disarming honesty to those willing to look beyond the surface. Born and educated in Ukraine, Irshi graduated from Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, but her creative path refused to remain confined to a single discipline. She first emerged in the literary world, where her short stories were published in the cult anthology “8.” Her voice quickly attracted attention: she was featured in interviews by major publications such as Elle, covered by Ukrainian television. Irshi’s life has been marked by both resilience and vulnerability. Bad experience did not harden her; instead, it deepened her empathy and sharpened her perception of the world’s emotional subtleties. Working primarily in series, Irshi approaches painting as an evolving dialogue rather than isolated acts. Her Blue Series, dedicated to female friendship and sisterhood, explores intimacy and emotional trust through layered tones and fluid compositions. This was followed by an impressionistic floral cycle, where her sensitivity to color and movement revealed a striking affinity with the expressive spirit of Van Gogh — not as imitation, but as a shared intensity of seeing. Her exploration then expanded outward into vibrant cosmic landscapes — luminous, almost otherworldly spaces that suggest both escape and confrontation with the infinite. In parallel, she developed a series of Japanese-inspired abstractions, defined by the tension between black and red. These works investigate the oscillation of inner pain as a rhythm to be understood. This latest body of work will be presented at the 48 Stunden Neukölln 2026 festival in Berlin, marking another step in her growing presence on the European art scene. Over the past two years, Irshi has participated in more than ten exhibitions in Berlin alone, steadily building a reputation among collectors and curators. Her practice extends beyond the canvas into urban space: she has created two official murals near Urban Nation Gallery, embedding her visual language into the city itself.
