About The Artwork
The Pacific Crest Trail passes amazing scenery throughout the 2,650 mile length through the Sierra Nevada mountains. In the western ridge above Lake Tahoe, the trail passes along the eastern shore of Fontanillis Lake. This amazing little alpine lake offers incredible scenery above its crystal clear water in the Desolation Wilderness. As the trail meanders along the shoreline, each step offers amazing views of the landscape in almost all directions. As I painted this, I imagined walking that trail again...towards the twin pines...and appreciating everything around me.
