About The Artwork
A fractious relationship between a mother and daughter. Laura. The underpainting, a study of her sitting at a table in a restaurant on a boat in the Dubai Creek, a Moonlight Sonata. When she saw the painting she asked me how I could paint her if I didn't know her. I painted over her, my gentler feelings towards her.
