This symbolic picture is for me a displacement of meaning between two terms with an aesthetic purpose, a metaphor. This is too a tribute to Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (1746-1826), a detail of "The Maja and the Cloaked men" (1777). Kafka wrote in 1922 "A trapeze artist", a short story about the first pain, the first missed and the arrival into adulthood. First Sorrow, a trapeze artist has inspired me about the loss of innocence. This Goya's scene of love and jealousy takes place in a spanish park with mediterraen pines. I've placed the scene on a trapeze, the fabric and the frame are a trapezoid. Kafka in his work realices always a reflection on the solitude of the artist, the yearning for perfection and the hierarchy pyramids. Goya's pessimism will increase over the years too, later with the Black paintings. - The dimensions of the upper side of the trapezoid are 87 cm. and the lower are 64 cm. - The artwork is made on an found object, a 100% cotton bed sheet.

CARMEN MORENO ART 2024 SETDART AUCTIONS Madrid, Barcelona, march 2024. EXPOMETRO NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE, 2 dec. 2023, 1530 BROADWAY, NEW YORK CITY. 10th anniversary with its first Digital Billboard ART SHOW. "Art is the desperate attempt to understand the world, life and death. Man creates a clumsy pictogram of himself and of the objects, as well as of everything he sees o feels, in the hope of being able to influence it. It is a survival strategy". Carmen Moreno 2024 Carmen Moreno is represented by the following Art Galleries: Setdart subastas Madrid, Barcelona. Galería Lanza, Madrid. Saatchi Art Gallery. Singulart Gallery-Paris. Carmen Moreno's work is bought by Art collectors worldwide. "World of Art" magazine 2020 Guggenheim Museum New York. "First of all, my pictures are myself, then the others and the whole. My work is an attempt to get closer to the mystery of things, to the mystery of life. Or maybe it's the other way around?. I have a tendency to create a figurative artwork BUT...the artwork begins to fly and fly and becomes independent by itself. On the other hand, I prefer to make the mixtures on the canvas and to contribute the painting something unreal, I love bright colors. Sometimes I start a work and try to unravel a mystery that is screaming to get out, and when I realized that I have fail and I must abandon it exhausted, the artwork follows its own life in solitary. I'm just the middle who consolidates a response". … Carmen Moreno lives and works between Germany and Spain. She has been successfully presented in the World of Art for more than twenty years ago.
