Gap of Dunloe, Killarney Painting

The Gap of Dunloe is a mountain pass near where I live in Killarney, Ireland. It is usually traversed on horseback on foot or by pony and trap and with wonderful views all along the route it is a place where I frequently go to hike or paint. I love this view towards the start of the route and have painted it at every season. I hope this version in soft greens and blues of early summer will evoke the feelings of peace and tranquility I feel on viewing this scene. It is painted in oils with brushes and palette knife and measures 12" x 16". It is in a white and gilt frame which gives a total measurement of 17" x 21"
