ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A flock of pigeons landed on the skylight of my studio, casting their shadow on my blank canvas, so I was inspired to quickly capture the gesture of their flight in monochrome. The highly textured, linear black 'background' creates a stasis and frontally for the piece.
