There is natural beauty in the area I live - Kingsand in Cornwall's Forgotten Corner. Steeped in maritime history from Drake's bowls game on the Hoe, the Mayflower with the Founding Fathers to Napoleon's brief captive stay in nearby Cawsand Bay before his cruise to St Helena. The historical Mount Edgcumbe Estate and coastal path. A continuing inspiration to me and my Plein Air French easel and trolly. Simple subject yet attractive to lovers of impressionistic seascapes. One of a series of three from my growing Mount Edgcumbe series. Oils, fat brushes and pallet knives of various shapes suit my style perfectly - the joy I get from slapping on paint is immeasurable.
