Green Painting Painting

The “Green Painting” (2019), is the first one from my “monochrome” series followed by “The Red Painting” (2019) and “The Blue Painting” (2020). On “The Green Painting”(2019) I started out with a photo I took of a cafe shop. The reason that triggered me to press the shutter is the sunlight on the people who were sitting in the middle of the space. I thought the theatrical scenery is glamorous enough. But after the film developed, I surprisingly found the reflection of pedestrians on the window was so vivid. Human figures are always the most attractive objects to me. And the more I painted, the more mysterious these figures became. The visible world, I think, is abstract and mysterious enough, I don’t need to depart from it in order to make art.
