Alicia Cornwell is a Fine Artist specialising in oils for Still Life. She works full time in her studio on top of a mountain in Olinda, Victoria, Australia. At one a tourist area with heavily loaded expansive gardens of European and alien frothy flora, celebrated for their unusual colour and form through festival and tourism. Cardboard cut outs of English Tearooms and fake snow against Dutch tulip celebrations. At another the large stunning Australian National parks with glorious native flowers, fern gullies and the largest flowering tree in the world - the Mountain Ash. Her additions of quirky objects in her paintings exemplifies her feelings of this massive contrast between false and real. Her family home's 100 year old garden provides constant inspiration for her artworks. She uses her large collection of Antique objects to create expansive and original subject matter using her surroundings at her studio on a mountain in a forest.
