Hamuri Painting

"I am convinced that through the beauty of art, the human being is free" I am a Mexican artist from the State of Mexico. In my work, I show off color and form as means to express myself, I mainly promote the human figure. I started my artistic career in 2010, when I gave up mechanical engineering for painting. This moment turned out to be key since I deepened my artistic studies through private academies and master painters. Over time, my technique and ideology have been consolidated to develop my personal proposal. Challenging current beauty canons, I rethink the role of women in society to shape an inclusive work; That is, I strive to destroy outdated roles to build a new figure that allows balance, for me, the issue falls on equity of opportunities and human revaluation. Under this framework, I build works based on women under a dense bed of color that I accompany with textures. The faces and bodies are made using palette knives, brushes, oil and acrylic, while in some of my works I introduce gold, silver or copper leaf, to create a sparkling and light-filled atmosphere. I leave no doubt about the implicit mystery of the gestures and the deep glances. My inspiration extends to the idea of natural beauty with beautiful flaws and love for humanity. The artists that have inspired me are: Remedios Varo, Hilma af Klint, Tamara de Lempicka and Miss Van. But not only women have inspired me, also sublime men like Gustav Klimt, M.C. Escher, Edvard Munch and Víctor Rodríguez. My work tries to develop further, I look for new artistic horizons, to consolidate new expressions and techniques.
