This painting was inspired by the happiness of my grandchild. The joy by dancing on her favourite music.I tried to translate this into this artwork and I hope that the viewer will recognize my feelings. I painted in oil on canvas because this medium is convenient for me.

Jan (Wierden 1948). In the beginning he painted how it was teached, in a realistic and impressionistic way. Bit by bit the landscapes lost their horizons and their structure of creating space. More an more his work became expressionistic and abstract. Music, especially classical music is a big source of inspiration. Nowadays he is painting a serie with 'Fantasy Landscapes' so the horizon is back! Jan won together with his partner Laura Rominu the third price in AIAF, the international Art Fair in Amsterdam.
