A while ago, reading the news, I looked over at my latest painting and thought, 'this is irrelevant'. I decided that I had to create only positivistic works from then on, that 'interesting' just wasn't good enough anymore. I started on the Earth Healing series, then wanted to do more than just abstractions. I focused on goddesses, angels, enlightened beings into whom I could paint more spiritual feeling. Hathor is the earliest of the Egyptian goddesses, and perhaps the most popular with earlier Egyptians, even more than Isis. I wanted to start at the source.
