Ilona Ottenbreit (*1972) finished her master studies 2006 in painting and sculptures in the Udk Berlin. Inspired from the stage - particularly dance and theater - she has been studying with the detection of human experience of space and movement. The current project "BE : CHANGE In constant change - Livepaintings by Ilona Ottenbreit" My live paintings enable me to let the viewer experience a process of constant change live. It all begins with a projection of a portrait onto the canvas. By scanning the portrait with charcoal lines, I capture what I can. Then I begin to paint the head by rhythmically applying the paint. In the process, the head dissolves, is rebuilt and dissolved again and again until it reaches a state in which it has almost disappeared. All that remains is an image of the core of its being. A musically improvised background creates a captivating process for the viewer. My inspirations for the portraits include Louise Hay (author of the New Spirit Movement), Bruce Lipton (developmental biologist and stem cell researcher) and Dr. Joe Dispenza (neuroscientist, researcher and chiropractor). They all deal with the possibility of transforming our consciousness or subconscious and how the power of words, thoughts and feelings can change us. This is also the theme of my live design of the "portraits". In this day and age, with all the external unrest and enormous crises, it is all the more important to create a positive inner peace through the transformation of our consciousness, which can also have an effect in the collective field of consciousness. 2013 - 2019 Political and voluntary commitment to the successful rescue of the Atelierhaus Mengerzeile works in public collections 2006 Sammlung PTV Karlsruhe 2004 Sammlung BBBank
