ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I wanted to make a painting from real life without pretense but with a story to tell that is universal. Finding subject matter that is compelling and allows the viewer to feel they have a vital role to play in the work is a delicate thing. How I find my subject is the art of the matter. I am trying to entice meaning not deliver it. This is a painting inspired by technique and motivated by shared experience at a very basic level.
