About The Artwork
One evening the artist started to paint a series of octopuses in ink. However, two of these paintings show cute cephalopods with less than eight arms like this one here. This six-limbed marine animal here looks with its red camouflage like ‘Henry the Hexapus’ found by British marine scientists in 2008. He had not lost two of his arms by an accident. He was born with this natal anomaly and Henry is also not alone with this birth defect. There are reports of other hexapuses and sometimes octopuses also lose their arms by physical injuries. The latter ones grow again.
