About The Artwork

Title: Himalayan Landscape - II Original Artwork Hand Painted Size: 30 x 24 inches Year of Painting: 2020 Oil paint on gallery wrapped canvas that presents 0.8" from the wall Sides painted white Ready to hang Thick textured layers of paint to give feel of 3rd dimension Protective layer of varnish applied Signed and titled on back of artwork by the artist Himachal Pradesh is a Himalayan State in Northern India that was anciently known as Dev Bhumi (The abode of Gods) and is abundant with natural beauty. The literal meaning of Himachal Pradesh is region of snowy mountains (In Hindi language “Him” means Snow and “Anchal” means top; when combined Himachal means “Snowy Tops”). This painting is inspired from beautiful KULLU VALLEY of Himachal Pardesh. The KULLU VALLEY offers breathtaking natural beauty. Its temples, apple orchards, gardens, stones, hills, colourful houses, handicraft textiles, festivals and everything make it a worthwhile destination to visit. The feel of so many lovely colours scattered throughout the valley always inspired me to put my feelings in the form of abstract art on the canvas. I have planned a series of paintings (may be up to 7) based upon my visits of KULLU VALLEY. This is the 2nd one. Hope you guys will like it and keep supporting. Cheers….!!!!!
