Borderline Project:
A proposition between the internal and external environment’, the work attempts to explore and comment upon the boundaries, or lack of, which separate man and nature, questioning the relationship between these spaces. Hyper-modern, designer interiors were chosen as subject matter: due to their open plan, fluidity of space. These environments meet with nature blurring the borders of these two territories, questioning their purpose and examining the displacement which is ‘nature within man’ and vice versa. The work attempts to create a sense of space with a strong perspective in order to engage with the viewer, inviting them into the work and placing them within the discordant environment to contemplate this dialogue.
