Mike Schuetz is an artist/designer who lives and works in Waco, Texas Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin during the golden age of the town's manufacturing industry, Schuetz grew up in a nurturing, loving family. Being part of the TV generation, and influenced by cartoons, comix, Mad Magazine, skateboarding, and punk music, Schuetz's work is a melting pot of all these influences. Schuetz's work consists of digital design, digital prints, paintings, and drawings. While similarities are found in all the work, individually each piece pushes new platforms, and new directions- reinventing and working in the spirit of Mad Magazine and 80's skateboard design. Liberated, weird, and OTHER, there is no need for explanation or didactics.
