"I'll be by your side" Painting

Windy Noviardy is an Indonesian born living in Provincetown, Massachusetts. He earned Bachelor of Art from Hunter College, New York, and graduated from Studio Art Intensive at National Academy Museum and Fine Arts School in 2014 He continues making artwork in his studio in Provincetown, MA currently. In his work of non-objective representation, Windy represents his interest of the essence of nature with its rich colors and texture. Through visible brushstrokes and the used of different mediums, he creates expressive and spontaneous paintings with rich texture and depth which explore the beauty and delicate side of nature. As in portraiture painting, Windy captures the essence of the model through their emotion and unique features. He uses Vasari classic artist's oil colors, which known for its quality to achieve a rich and vibrant colors on linen, canvas and wood panel. The colors in these portrait paintings are carefully selected according to the vibes and emotion that come through the model, which also represents his color palettes. The still life paintings, represent his belonging that he acquired personally over the years or being given to him by friends and relatives. They are a symbol of love and as his reminder of the people he cares the most who are not there physically but in spirit through those paintings. When not painting in his studio, Windy spends his time around nature, observing and taking pictures of it as a source of inspiration. This interaction with nature helps to trigger the sensational feeling that allows him to use those rich colors on the canvas, unveils the mysterious of nature.
