Icelandic Storm Painting

This painting was inspired by the clouds and huge expanse on the high moorlands of Iceland. Even in high summer a bracing storm can quickly develop. The changing shapes and colours in this beautiful but desolate place was intoxicating. The challenge of capturing the light as the rain began to fall in the distance was all consuming.
