Imagined Landscape Painting

I like to paint semi-abstract watercolors and abstract mixed media paintings. I continually try to stretch the boundaries of watercolor - experimenting with different ways to create textures. My paintings are influenced by the shapes in nature and the beautiful surroundings of Northern California and by my previous experiences living in England, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. I studied painting at the Rhodesian School of Art in what is now Zimbabwe and for four years in California with master watercolorist Jerry Stitt, AWS. I live in Marin County, California which has many unspoiled coastal areas, nature parks and trails that inspire many of my watercolors. I also teach watercolor painting online.
