About The Artwork
Things given to us; things intimate to us; things dear to us: these things are priceless to us and an integral part of the essence of home. The motif of this work is the insertion of jewellery into a picture: a jewellery box. What is at first glance a simple still life of everyday objects becomes a symphony of detail and tells the story of the wear and tear suffered by objects that mean something significant to us: they become both important and DEAR to us. The jewellery itself is a symbolic pile of classical jewellery: rings, necklaces, pendants, diamonds and pearls; a normal woman's jewellery box. The painting and the jewellery are connected by spatial perspective. The jewellery thus has its place in the picture, just like a person has their personal space where they rest, read, love.In the jewelery box is a celebration of small everyday pleasures, a celebration of life and its spiritual essence: not just empty pleasure, but the genius loci of the home.

I have graduated Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava. Where I studied in a jewelry and painting studio. Typical for my painting is my own technique cuts acrylic layers. I produce jewelery from acrylic scrap. I interconnect two media of painting and jewellery. During this work I already haven´t differented what is jewell and what is painting. In jewellery I thing like painter and in painting like jewellery again. As a painter in jewellery I work with whole and last part of my work is pointing out details.
