Inner and Outer World - The Judgment Day

What I hope the viewers will feel/think?
- Imagine that you are moving quietly through the meadow, trying to get close enough to the hole to get a good picture of what is inside 'with a strong desire to know what is inside the Euclidean hole'. As you distance yourself from the other entrance / exit 'the aerial perspective' you realise then that you're already adapted to a different absolute metrical cue a new form of time and sense of space due to the haptic perception in the course of this process.

What/who inspired the work?
- Well what inspired me in this work was a simply and complicated sentence that was transmitted to me at an important stage in my life which somehow created and type of agnosia on me.
Someone called me a part and told me: "I do not want my daughter with a black one like you", the person added, 'that would be the worst thing that could happen to me and if that happens I promise that I'll kill you." These words stayed in me for a while... but in fact I learned and something I took out of here:
1) Each person's value system is a result of his experience, that is, it is learned.
2)The values that individuals learn differ from one society to another because of different learning experiences.
3)Values, therefore, are relative to the society in which they occur.
4) No values are universal: however, we should respect the values of each culture.

Why did I choose the medium and subject matter?
I chose oil on canvas because I definitely want this painting to last forever or at least as long as possible. It will be interesting to see how future generations will observe and understand this piece.
I intend with this painting not only to emotionally sensitise the viewer but mainly to touch on some important social / political points which still present in our current society.

★ Carlos Simpson is an Entrepreneur, Strategic Graphic Designer, Artist, Musician, and Author in London – United Kingdom. “From my five-year-old until today, I dedicate myself and my life to the Arts. I’ve never learned how to paint, sing, and how to play music, but from a noticeably early age I learned something that I consider to be my greatest asset: “Never be afraid to be myself.” And this way inspires other people to be better humans. The fact that I’ve never met anyone from my family was the reason that inspired me from an early age to the imagination and creation of a new world that introduced me to the world of art and culture. My Art is an anthropological and philosophical study with the intention of better understanding first the Man / Woman and everything that surrounds him/her to understand my own existence as an individual and evolutionary matter.” ★ Carlos Simpson explores the complex relationships between art, beauty, religion, science, life, and death, gender dynamics, questions society constructs, and gender empowerment.
