ABOUT THE ARTWORK
As a season ticket holder at Aston Villa, I get the chance to take some wonderful photographs from my seat close to the pitchside and the tunnel. I use these as inspiration for watercolour paintings done using a digital programme. This particular picture of Jabck Grealish, the Captain of Aston Villa, was taken just after he had scored, and it shows the depth of his emotions. I hope that I have captured his soul.

Born originally in South Wales in the early 1960s, I moved to the glorious Chew Valley to the south of Bristol when I was just six months old, and there I have stayed ever since. Surrounded by countryside, yet just 20 minutes away from both Bristol and Bath, the Chew Valley has the best of all possible worlds. Painting and drawing have been hobbies all of my life, but following a life-chamging accident at work, my art has become so much more important to me. I take my inspiration from the landscapes around me and from a life-long passion for animals. I love the Arts & Crafts movement and much of my work in stained glass is inspired by Louis Tiffany.
