Hello! I am an artist, Evgeny Utkin. My main creativity is work on a sports theme. But work, by and large, is not about sports, not about a healthy lifestyle, but about people who strive for something, overcome themselves and improve themselves. Sports in the pictures are just a means to draw a parallel, for example, between a fighter on a tatami and a fighter "in life", between the interaction of a coach and a student and the interaction of father and son, between a boy who wants to achieve success in sports and a boy who has big plans for future. Earlier, I did a little martial arts, but now I just lead an active lifestyle and the sports atmosphere is very familiar to me, so it is interesting for me to reveal some topic through the image of physical education. After all, in life everything is like in sports: there are training, there are crucial moments, there is overcoming and getting out of the comfortable zone, it's just that athletes have all this almost on the surface and clearly expressed. As for the style, I remain true to realism. Although, according to popular opinion, it is not fashionable now, but for me the content is much more important. And in order to "grow" a picture with meaning, it is necessary to be constantly in search of new themes and compositional solutions. This is an irreplaceable and often lengthy work process that requires the artist to immerse himself in the material. As a rule, from concept to execution, you need to make a huge number of sketches, sketches, studies, etc. constantly paint, landscapes, portraits and still lifes from nature, in order to be in shape. After all, an artist, like an athlete, cannot be without training.
