Koshina Mariia was born in 29th of october in 1993 in Vladivostok (Russia). At the age of 6 Koshina moved to Saint-Petersburg with her family where she lives and works now. Her family since the early childhood trained the girl for career of the ballet dancer, but her sincere preferences were different from them. It was attracted much more not by "body movement", but "thought movement". She wanted not just acting on the scene, but create something on her own. The long path of searching herself began with attempts of writing of small sketches, the essays. It`s main goal was to show "a condition of the subject". Thereby, she already tried to draw, but meanwhile, only by means of words. However, neither writing, nor a photo art didn't give full sincere satisfaction. As a result, having taken once a brush in hand, she couldn't release it anymore. Drawing began the only opportunity to reach for the apogee of self-expression. Each person has the right to see the history in her pictures. Koshina, calling the style of her works "music on a canvas". Some of her works even carry the names of concrete works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Beethoven and Rachmaninov. She tries to give interpretation of a piece of music on a canvas, as though pouring music in a new form, in a painting form.
