ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The woman in this painting is one of my friends. Very few of my friends have posed nude before. Most come to sit for me because they love art and want to contribute to my art and creativity. I like to let the models choose their poses, and by doing so, the imagery is different and more natural. I believe in letting my sitters be themselves. I have worked in my model's homes, where I discovered that I could have different imagery and better emotional quality in the work when a model feels secure. This drawing is part of my ongoing intimate moments series. This oil painting is created on a 2/8 inch thick masonite board mounted on a 3/4 inch pine support frame. The edges are painted black for immediate display if desired. The painting is signed, and it comes accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
