KACHING Painting

Although this style appears to be inspired by the works of Jackson Pollock, it actually comes from fifty years of working with different paints, brushes, palette knives, wooden paint mixing sticks, and the exploration of different techniques. I found that the serendipity expressed by the free-flowing patterns of lines resulted in an expression not unlike an ad lib solo played on a musical instrument or the flight of a leaf in the Spring breeze. The strong over-riding strokes in black counter the fluid movement of the lines but intertwine in a very dynamic and dramatic way, unanticipated yet appreciated as if a dance between two disparate spirits.
