This summer (2016) I have visited Assisi (Umbria/Italy). Watching Giotto's murals in Basilica of St Francis was a must of course, but it was works of Lorenzetti that took my breath away and where coming back to me for next weeks. The Angel is a synthesis of shapes and colours that made such an impression on me - peculiar blue and pink highlighted by gold, still fresh after houndrets of years; and those magical personas with wings who witness every important interaction between divine and human. After debate with fellow-artists and believers it was decided that such a existence does not need a particular face, but might be atributed with features by each recipent. Painting is mixed media (oil + schlagmetal + mordant + varnish) on HDF and wooden canvas. HDF and wood visible side, but object should not be framed - open form and visible structure is a part of design. Schlagmetal-made aureole and wings changes mood according to lighting facilities. HDF background is visible part of the composition. Small technical flaws are welcome in my works, as matherial perfection I leave to manufacturing. I built canvas myself from the scratch and so it is not perfect and at closer look you can see joints and nail's heads, as well and as uneven surface and sometimes gaps in schlagmetal leaves. It does not disturb the harmony of the whole object however, and I see it as a additional value of my personal touch.

Most of the highly celebrated art is about discovering new or commenting on current pressing matters, but my art is about simple everyday willingness to live. I paint because this gives me purpose and joy – it’s like humming nice song for a hundredth time, even thou there were many covers before; preparing favorite drink for a friend and myself, to enjoy it again in a new glass perhaps; dressing up for no occasion, just to look and feel good; caressing a lover… I wish it was the same for recipients of my art – everyday pleasure in experiencing it. Like a book that you red many times, yet you still reach for it; dish that you always order in that place that is there forever... Repeatable, often classic topics; favorite color palette; small and big things that makes us want to live, even thou world can be such an ugly place. I want my art to make it better - even for a moment, even in a tiny way. I want it to remind myself and others that it's worth to try everyday...
