acuteblaze is an ambitious abstract spray painter residing in Seattle. Formerly from Gainesville, Florida she drove the majority of her collection 3,000 miles across America. Although she is self-taught, a gritty and recognizably unpredictable style now defines her works. The chaotic and textured palette is often complemented by iridescent reflections of light. Her aesthetic choices were chosen from an eagerness to explore the unpredictability of painting in undesirable conditions. Perhaps it is an attempt to become complacent with the chaos. This haphazard application and literal use of flame summon something intense, emotional, and other-worldly.
