Konterfekt VIII Painting

● The painting is inspired by the reflection that "I am the sum of the thoughts and gestures of people with whom I am strongly connected", and therefore the subject of the description is my body, my sister's, mother's and her mother's, composed on the basis of a palimpsest. ● In my oil painting, I tried to find a balance between a faithful representation of a memory and a creative creation. This representation contains elements similar to the original, and at the same time it is only an image. ● In the oil painting, I combined fragments of remembered bodies with fragments of sketches of these memories - ie fragments pretending to be watercolors (but they are painted with oil paints). Their form and style reflect the characteristic features of watercolor, such as lightness, transparency and subtlety. And which, in my opinion, are the same as the characteristics of a memory or a mental image.
