Alex Henk* was born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1964. Fields of activity: Contemporary Art & Design You have an opportunity to see rare ink artworks of Alex Henk here. They were resulted of his Desert Experiments performed within the last two decades. ARTIST'S MESSAGE: "Usually, I work in my studio and use various mediums (Oil, Tempera, Acrylic, etc). But what will happen if the artist will be in a non-standard environment, practically without any tools and materials for work? Moreover, there is no nature around. No computer, smartphone, camera, TV, etc. Desert Experiments were performed to model such a situation. At my disposal were a limited number of ink colors, ink liners (black and brown), water, and A4 paper // except for a few cases when shaving brush was used :) //. Nothing else. Even no feathers for ink. Painting was done by stick, which is inside the bottle of ink. However, there was a great willingness to create artworks and 1 billion images in my head. The results are presented in this side-project." - Alex Henk * - Alex Henk is a pseudonym of Alex (Oleksii) Pasenchenko used especially for promoting of Desert Experiments only This project is dedicated to my Father Alexander.
