About The Artwork

In this work, as in many abstracts, René Cheng wanted to play with colors to create a balance. "Lava" was created for the "Creators of Hope" auction organized by the Mexican builders, the Pedro Ávila Gallery and will be auctioned on October 27, 2022, at 100%. The donation went to AMANC, an institution that supports children with cancer. It is painted on a CEMENT plate. Cheng, wanted to recreate lava, an element of the Earth, which could be seen as Earth "blood". We substrato different elements from Lava, from cement to diamonds. As life itself it can be beautiful and destructive. Cheng captures perfectly the lava flow and you can almost feel the heat. - IN PRIVATE COLLECTION -
